Abstract
valuated the radiologic findings of primary benign and maligannt retroperitoneal tumors originating from peripheral nerves, retrospectively. These tumors includes neurilemoma, neurofibroma and malignant schwannoma. The materials of this study are
6
neurilemomas, 1 neurofibroma, 2 malignant schwannomas. All of the cases were confirmed by surgery. Benign tumors originating from peripheral nerves were well demarcated, relatively inhomogeneous masses in the radiologic examination, and also were
malignant masses. But the malignant masses were much larger and more invasive than benign masses. In conclusion, the radiologic findings of malignant tumors are similar to those of benign tumors, but the larger size and more invasive behavior
might
help
to differentiate malignant tumors from benign tumors radiologically.
